Course description
As dental hygienists, we frequently encounter cases of gingival recession. However, the challenge often lies in determining the right moment for intervention. All too often, we delay referrals to periodontists until the recession has progressed significantly, potentially making successful outcomes from gum grafting procedures more difficult to achieve.
To provide the highest standard of care for our patients, it is crucial that we develop a deep understanding of gum grafting techniques and their implications. This course is designed to equip dental hygienists with the knowledge and skills needed to identify when a referral for gum grafting is necessary, understanding the procedure itself, and providing effective post-operative care and instructions.
